Jon A. Sunderlage, D.C., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac., DABCA

Jon is a 1968 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, St. Louis, Missouri. He has over 4,700 hours in acupuncture training from Canada, China, Europe, Taiwan (Formosa), Japan, Korea, and the United States. He maintains a busy acupuncture and chiropractic practice in Elgin, Illinois. In addition to his practice he has trained several thousand chiropractors as lead instructor thru the post graduate classes which were taught at National, Logan, and Parker Colleges of Chiropractic. He was instrumental in helping with passing of the law for the acupuncturists to practice in state of Illinois. He also served on the inaugural Illinois State Acupuncture Board of Examiners as the chiropractic representative during the time the acupuncture practice act was accepted as law in 1997.

Joy L. Sunderlage, D.C., Dipl.Ac.(NCCAOM), L.Ac., DICCP, DABCA

After earning her Bachelors degree in Pre Medicine from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 1994 and her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic St. Louis, Missouri in 1997, Dr. Joy joined her father Dr. Jon A. Sunderlage in practice in Elgin, Illinois, a thriving chiropractic acupuncture practice that has been maintained for over 35 years. She is certified and has diplomate status in acupuncture through National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a licensed acupuncturist. Joy serves on the Illinois State Board of Acupuncture and she is one of the principle postgraduate acupuncture instructors at National University of Health Sciences. Along with her father, over 300 hours of continuing acupuncture education courses are taught through the chiropractic college. She also has diplomate status in chiropractic pediatrics (DICCP). She is one of the founding executive officers of the American Chiropractic Association’s College of Chiropractic Acupuncture (ACA-CCA) which will be providing acupuncture diplomate testing and credentialing for the chiropractic profession. Over 50% of her private practice involves patient cases which involve women’s issues, fertility, pregnancy, and pediatrics. While lecturing, she brings generational clinical experience mixed with an ease of understanding the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory into the classroom.

Lawrence D. Beem, D.C., DABCA, IME, FASA, FICPA

Dr Beem is a graduate of Cleveland College of Chiropractic. He has practiced acupuncture for over 30 years. He has post graduate certifications in: Acupuncture, Radiology, Auricular Acupuncture, Pediatrics, Independent Medical Examination, A. K., Healthcare Administration and CPR. He has been an Assistant Professor at and a member of the Post Graduate faculty of Cleveland College since 1992. Dr. Beem has served the Chiropractic profession in many capacities in local and state organizations. As a founding member of the CCA Dr. Beem continues to serve the profession in profound ways.

Richard D. Yennie, DC, DABCA, Dipl Ac (NCCAOM)

Zev Joshua Myerowitz D.C., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), LAc., F.I.C.C., DABCA

Dr. Myerowitz is a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Licensed Acupuncturist practicing in the State of Maine for the past 32 years. Dr. Zev Myerowitz first studied Acupuncture under Dr. Richard Yennie in 1978. Over the last 33 years he has continued his studies under many well known masters. Some of these include Dr. Miki Shima, Ted Kaptchuk, Giovanni Macioca, Kiko Matsumoto, Bob Flaws, Jake Fratkin, Dana Price, Jeff Nagel, Grand Master Share K. Lew, Dr. Wei-Chieh Young (Master Tong's Acupuncture), Terry Oleson, Ralph Dale, Kinyon Kim, Robert Chu, Chiao Lee, Misha Cohen, Will Morris, Marilyn Allen, Michael Tierra, Dan Bensky, Gene Bruno, Z'ev Rosenberg, Amy Sear, Hwang Deok-Sang, Kim Yong-Suk Jeffrey Yuen and many more, each teaching a different perspective of Oriental Medicine. He has taught over 200 seminars in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, practice building and philosophy. He has written seven books on practice management, success principles and the practice of Chiropractic Acupuncture in the field of Oriental Medicine. He is an extremely sought after teacher and is well known for his ability to teach in an easy to learn and fun nature. He is a past Post Graduate Faculty member in Acupuncture for Parker College of Chiropractic, and is currently on staff in the Post Graduate Department of Logan College of Chiropractic in Acupuncture. He is president of the International Academy of Chiropractic Acupuncture and is the president of the Acupuncture Society of New England. He is also the past vice president of the Maine Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is the past vice president of the Executive Board of the American Chiropractic Associations Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture. Dr. Myerowitz is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Maine. Dr. Myerowitz has taught on the Parker program for over 20 years and has been awarded Team Teacher of the Year, Chiropractor of the Year, Parker Consultant of the Year, Parker Master Member award, Parker Grand Master award, Parker Centurion award and the prestigious Parker Associate Lecturer award (PAL) personally by Dr. James W. Parker. He has also taught for many State Associations on the subject of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is well known and respected in the field as an authority, teacher and practitioner. He has also served on the Board of directors and as Chairman of Peer Review in Maine for over 10 years. Dr. Myerowitz was recently awarded an F.I.C.C. (Fellow, International College of Chiropractors). Dr. Myerowitz has taught Acupuncture for over 25 years and continues to teach and practice on a regular basis.
